our values

:: Core Values :

These biblical values along with our vision and mission form the "framework tiles" of Mosaic Life. They are guide and everything we do. If they are not lived then nothing we do, will effectively advance the vision of Mosaic Life.

Diverse Community

Diversity – - We value relationships among diverse racial, ethnic and social and people groups as we explore a relationship with God. Out of many, we become one people, designed to live out the relationship we have with Jesus in mosaic community.

Compassionate Love – We value compassionate love for others. Love will be at the center of all our relationships.

Jesus said, " 'Love the Lord your God with all your passion and prayer and intelligence.' 38This is the most important, the first on any list. 39But there is a second to set alongside it: 'Love others as well as you love yourself.'
Matthew 22:37-39 (Message)

Mosaic Life exists to gather God’s people to the unifying power of God’s spirit. God's love supercedes the structural boundaries and barriers human make to create a dynamic living organism for God’s purpose. God’s spirit and love leads us into deeper relationships and reconciliation with each other.

You can easily enough see how this kind of thing works by looking no further than your own body. Your body has many parts-limbs, organs, cells-but no matter how many parts you can name, you're still one body. It's exactly the same with Christ. [13] By means of his one Spirit, we all said goodbye to our partial and piecemeal lives. We each used to independently call our own shots, but then we entered into a large and integrated life in which he has the final say in everything. 1 Corinthians 12:12- (Message)

Cultural Relevance

Biblical communication – We value that engaging the culture with relevance. From the beginning followers of Jesus, led and inspired by God’s spirit engaged their culture with relevance. They communicated biblical truths in relevant ways.

Our culture can speak powerfully about issues of faith and spirituality through art, media and movies. Sometimes our culture asks questions that we need must respond to as people of faith. Sometimes the arts suggest a partial answer to a question of faith. @ mo·sa·ic life we utilize cultural media music movies and the arts to explore and address issues of spirituality and faith in Jesus

They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to talk in other languages, as the Spirit enabled them to speak. 5There were Jews living in Jerusalem, religious people who had come from every country in the world. 6When they heard this noise, a large crowd gathered. They were all excited, because all of them heard the believers talking in their own languages. Acts 2:4-6 (Today’s English Version)

Paul says in I Corinthians 9:22, "I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some."

Passion for God – We value a passionate relationship with God

Missional engagement

Engaging faith – We value engaging the world with the good news of God’s love so that many communities of faithful followers of Jesus may be reproduced through our lives.

“ All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in£ the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20(New International Version)

Hopeful Future – We value being an instrument of God's transformation and a voice of hope in our world that allows people to experience God’s transforming power in a fragmented world. We anticipate the day when God gather all his people together to experience God’s goodness and greatness together.

After this I saw a vast crowd, too great to count, from every nation and tribe and people and language, standing in front of the throne and before the Lamb. They were clothed in white and held palm branches in their hands. 10And they were shouting with a mighty shout, "Salvation comes from our God on the throne and from the Lamb!"
