It’s important for each of us to discover God’s design in us and God’s purpose for us. Following Jesus’ example we will become servants to God and others as we compassionately respond to the needs of those around us. Mosaic Life will create regular service opportunities for those who participate in the mosaic community
Living Beyond Ourselves
As followers, there is no better way to reflect the God’s heart than to ask, “How can I serve you?”
Jesus modeled this pattern of life:
“After Jesus had washed the disciples’ feet, He asked them, “Do you understand what I have done for you? You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. Very truly I tell you, servants are not greater than their master, nor are messengers greater than the one who sent them. Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.” John 13:12-15John 13:12-15
English: Contemporary English Version (1999) - CEV
12 . After Jesus had washed his disciples' feet and had put his outer garment back on, he sat down again. o sat down again: On special occasions the Jewish people followed the Greek and Roman custom of lying down on their left side and leaning on their left elbow, while eating with their right hand. Then he said:
Do you understand what I have done?
13 You call me your teacher and Lord, and you should, because that is who I am.
14 And if your Lord and teacher has washed your feet, you should do the same for each other.
15 I have set the example, and you should do for each other exactly what I have done for you.
