Life (small) groups
Mosaic Life Groups are small groups of 6-10 people who meet regularly to build friendships, have spiritual conversations, serve and worship together. M-life groups are open to anyone at any place in the spiritual journey. These groups are central to our community life. Currently this is the main way to participate in Mosaic Life.

A:Life Groups are small group communities where learning, interaction, friendship, and encouragement take place. This fall, we will be offering four types of Life Groups.
- Connections groups -- Doing Life together, Sharing testimonies, going over previous weeks sermon, accepting each other and learning to love, accept, and build strong relationships thru Christ with each other.
- Formation groups -- Main focus will be LEARNING. It may be studying a book of the Bible and learning how to articulate what you have learned. Getting deeper into the WORD and being able to develop some relationships with others.
- Service groups -- groups focused on service to others.
- Discussion Groups -- Most will be based on a particular book with questions, and lively discussion.

- Life groups are Geographically-Convenient. Proximity is rarely an issue.
- Life groups are Diverse. A celebration of cultural-diversity, something for every phase of life.
- Life groups are Relationally-Fueled. A laboratory for loving one another.
- Life groups are Missionally-Focused. Blessing our community with God’s love.
- Life groups are Purposeful. A healthy balance of our five core purposes.
- Life groups are Life-Integrated. Not a program, but a way of life.

Q:Why should I join a Life Group?

A:We believe that you can only move so far on your spiritually journey without others. Being in a group will help you develop lasting friendships that will we need to go further on our spiritual journey. Life groups are just a great place to make friends and realize you are not alone in whatever you are going through. Life groups celebrate successes and help each other through the tough times.

A:Life groups are for everyone and anyone at Mosiac Life.

A:They meet all over our area in host homes. You can usually find a group within 10-15 minutes of your house.

A:You show up, share food and and hang out for about 20 minutes. Then explore the topic or focus of your groups choosing. The group might watch a DVD or read a book reading together, then discuss what they have watched or read. Notice we said discussed. Leaders facilitate conversation, but do not teach or preach! It isn’t a bunch of theological jargon or church that only a few can understand, it is discussion about real life and everyone has an opportunity to contribute. It is for everyone at every point in their journey. Groups usually end with a time of prayer, then people hang out for a little while and go home.

A: It depends on the group. Each group decides how it wants to do childcare. However, we encourage you to include the children when possible. Be a family. Children can be involved in each activity such as sharing meals together, fellowship activities, times of worship and prayer, community service activities,

A:Try another one! We understand that every person is not going to click the first night, so we ask that you hang in your group for at least 5 weeks. Usually after 5 weeks of consistently attending groups will gel, but if not then just let us know and we will help you find another group that might be a better fit.

Q:Can I start my own group?

A:We are always looking for new leaders and hosts. We would love to get your information and talk with you about starting a group at some point. We have strategic times in the year when we launch a lot of groups so just fill out a leader application and we will contact you.

Q:How do I get into a group?

A:You can sign up for a Life Group at the connections Table, so stop by there and just fill out a card and we will get in touch with you. Also you can sign up online just click on the Life Group link and we will contact you about our next set of Connection Groups. Another way is just to ask a friend if you can go with them to their group. You are welcome at anytime to any of our groups.

A:A Learning group is a small group of couples or individuals that meet in our misntry space during the week to explore a deepening relationship through scripture study and cooperative learning to become more like Jesus.
